Färgfabriken delve into architecture
It will be an exciting autumn at Färgfabriken in 2024 as we immerse ourselves in architecture, in an exhibition curated by architect Karolina Keyzer, former acting director at Färgfabriken.
On 31 August, the group exhibition Architectures – eight contemporary investigations opened. The focus is on architecture as an art form in its own right and its ability to provide answers to important human needs and societal challenges.
– In this exhibition, we want to return to the core of architecture and its potential to improve people’s lives and come up with solutions to the challenges of our time, says Karolina Keyzer.
In the exhibition, eight architects/architect teams present a large-scale model each, based on a theme that touches on basic needs or humanity’s drivin forces, such as love, belonging and shelter.
The exhibition is also the starting point for the Architecture Triennale, a new platform initiated by Färgfabriken with a rich program created in dialogue and collaboration with a number of partners. The triennial is to be a recurring forum for architecture and urban development, a gathering forum for all interested in questions about the built environment and the future.
– Färgfabriken has extensive experience of investigating important future issues in dialogue with other actors. Architecture as an art form and practice has an important task in how we create a sustainable society, says Anna-Karin Wulgué, director of Färgfabriken.
This autumn’s exhibition will serve as a hub for the new venture, where both professionals and the general public can come together to explore, experience and discuss architecture.
