Gylleboverket artistgroup works with sitespecific installations, social sculpture, video, sound, performances, myths and rituals. The group has a core consisting of the artists Etta Säfve and Jona Elfdahl. They often collaborate with other artists and crossdisciplinary with people from different fields. For the exhibition at Färgfabriken artist Shelly Sharr is part of the collective.
Listen looks at how we perceive and communicate climate change from an emotional perspective by creating a forum where young people, researchers, and artists explore notions of nature, consumption, and identity. When exhibitions and other public activities have been forced to close, our opportunities to expand our perspectives with the help of art and culture and meet new ideas when needed most are limited. Therefore, we want to take the opportunity to revisit Shared History, a project that, based on the so called refugee cricis in 2015, investigated how ongoing historical events can be interpreted and expressed artistically. The film was made for the project in 2018. The pandemic we are currently experiencing invites more perspectives and new readings. In Symbiosis, different ideas and areas of knowledge meet to explore how "symbiotic thinking" can be tested and expressed. In recent years, the project has been developed in dialogue with, among others, researchers and artists. What happens when we apply "symbiosis" as a model of thought to our present and future challenges?
