Children and youth

Färgfabriken welcomes children and young people to a place full of color, curiosity and creativity! Here you can explore exciting exhibitions, try creative activities and discover various expressions of art and architecture. Welcome to Färgfabriken – a space for imaginations!

Our philosophy

At Färgfabriken, everyone should feel welcome, regardless of their experience and prior knowledge. Each exhibition can be experienced and understood in as many different ways as there are people. Art and architecture concern and influence us all, and therefore everyone has the right to express themselves and ask questions. Färgfabriken wants to offer different ways to approach art and architecture through both experiences, conversations and creative activities. Children and young people have the right to actively participate in cultural life and to have their ideas, questions and opinions taken seriously! Our exhibition hosts are happy to answer questions.

Practical information

Children and young people up to the age of 19 always have free admission! There are changing tables on every floor. To use the elevator, pass the main entrance and turn left around the corner. The exhibition spaces are on the first floor. The café is on the entrance floor.

Image hunting!

Look for exciting and tricky details in the current exhibition BANANA! They are hidden in and arund the exhibition’s various artworks; including everything from airplanes made of roofing sheet metal to drawings about the artist’s innermost fears concerning her house.
