VAL – The Water Ring of Kaliningrad

VAL — Kaliningrad water ring project was initiated in frame of the Baltic Dimensions program started by Färgfabriken, Center for Contemporary Art and Architecture in Stockholm in cooperation with Green Design Society architectural office in Moscow.

Baltic Dimensions proceeded in October 2015 with the urban space of Kaliningrad, Russia. The aim of the project is to highlight a connection between culture and water through the Val – the different streams that form a segment of a circle which almost fully traces the earlier fortification ring of Konigsberg, which later became a green belt.
