Participating artists: Ola Pehrson, Takuji Kogo, Young-Hae Chang, Mija Rehnström, John Miller och Daniel Westlund.
SCREAM is a workshop, an exhibition and a book at Färgfabriken. Participating artists: Ola Pehrson, Takuji Kogo, Young-Hae Chang, Mija Rehnström, John Miller och Daniel Westlund.
Between the 8th and 14th of May Färgfabriken held an open workshop with artists from Japan, Korea, Sweden and USA. All the participating artists were working on projects for the exhibition Scream that opened on the 14th. Works created during the workshop were accompanied by already existing pieces, like for example Young-Hae Chang and John Millers already classic Internet work ”Cunnilingus in North Korea”. During the opening night a performance was conducted; “NASDAQ Vocal Index”, a quire work by Ola Pehrson where the dealing at Nasdaq was real-time translated into notes and sung by a live quire.
A crucial part of the workshop was that it was suppose to result in a catalogue, which was put together right after the opening; 120 pages, filled with pictures, in four-color printing.
This is an important project for Färgfabriken in many ways, evolving from a workshop and creating a dialogue between artists from different countries. There has been a great interest, both from the audience at home but also abroad. Therefore, we’ve decided to prolong the exhibition over the summer, while we’re showing David Lynch Eat My Fear in Färgfabrikens mail hall.
