Artist tour – With Filippa Arrias

As part of the major spring group exhibition Att slå rot, Färgfabriken is organizing a guided tour with Filippa Arrias, exclusively for Stockholm Art Week.

During the tour, Arrias talks about her artistic practice, which largely consists of painting and collage, through which she explores how we perceive time and memory. In recent years, Arrias has focused on an artistic research project that has taken her to Suriname and into an encounter with her own family history. Arrias combines documented stories, including archival photographs, with her own contemporary images and narratives. The large paintings become stories to step into, with layers of materiality, time, and memory processes.

Filippa Arrias was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, and now lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden.
