Färgfabriken and the association Samtida Musik present a concert with one of Sweden’s foremost violinists in contemporary art music – Karin Hellqvist.

Both acoustic and electro-acoustic music will be performed in the suggestive exhibition Roland Persson: Being Mortal Hurts. The program is based on a family of solo works that Karin has worked intensively on in recent years. As part of an artistic doctoral project at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, she has explored various forms of collaboration with composers, resulting in a series of co-created works. The pieces all have different starting points, such as Swedish folk music, improvisation or the exploration of special playing techniques.

Performers: Karin Hellqvist (violin) and Daniel M Karlsson (sound engineer).
