Liv Strand – a new exhibition in the up3-series introducing young artists for a broader audience.
Separate exhibition
Project rooms, Färgfabriken
As a part of Färgfabriken’s focus on young artists from the Nordic countries, the Baltic and the world Liv Strand is now exhibiting in Färgfabriken’s project rooms.
Liv Strand graduated from the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm in 1999. At Färgfabriken she presents a number of new works, combined to create a comprehensive installation. Liv Strand works with every day life and its objects – but plays with hidden or apparent meanings. The objects in our homes – like chairs and tables – are recognizable, but at the same time prove to be parts of a puzzle. Serious but smiling she moves in places familiar to us all, but she stays with the objects – and maybe she points our attention towards time. The things are there in front of us – but do we actually look at them?
