Guided Tour – with artist Lisa Englund

19 February, 5 March, 16 March

Main hall, Färgfabriken

Artist Lisa Englund talks about the current grant exhibition in her own words.

Lisa Englund, who has been awarded Becker’s artist scholarship 2025, will hold artist screenings in her exhibition at Färgfabriken during three evenings in February and March. Here, in the artist’s own words, we get to take part in the work process and the imaginative world of motifs that draw inspiration from creation myths and folklore.

From the jury’s motivation:

Lisa Englund takes the expression “from seed to feed” literally. First, she goes on hikes in the woods to find suitable and unsuitable plants, mosses and fungi, which she picks and uses to dye fragrant wools. Then comes the persevering and time-consuming work at the loom. Thump, thump – a craft that defies all haste. A craft that is a paradox in our digital world.
