Joakim Sandqvist (b. 1988) works in a wide range between abstraction and the concrete and with a wide selection of media, such as sculpture, video, photography, drawing and textiles. The choice of material comes from the ideas and contexts with which he works, and the history of the material itself is often central to the works. Behind each work lies therefore a solid research and a long artistic process, something that Joakim Sandqvist will talk about in his guided tour of the exhibition.
