More about the Ruuderal Garden project

What is the role of ruderal species in the urban ecosystem? Come to our ruderal garden and learn how these unruly and tenacious plants emerging from the rubble reshape disturbed landscapes through their adaptable and creative nature.

Welcome to a workshop exploring plants and other critters of the ruderal landscape. Together with artists Mercè Torres and Natalie Blom, we will look closely at ruderal plants and their leaves. As fall unravels, the leaves are dramatically changing. We will examine their colour, shape, tiny hairs, fungi growing on them and insect eggs layed on them. Equipped with magnifying glasses and sketching materials, we will explore the plants growing in post-industrial Lövholmen.

This workshop is a part of the broader artistic research project about ruderal landscapes, run by Garden Loops in collaboration with Yannick Woudstra and Färgfabriken.
