Jacques

French musician and artist Jacques gives an exclusive performance of Vidéochose for Färgfabriken’s anniversary. Jacques has quickly established himself as a unique artist who has been nominated for the Victoires de la Musique, France’s equivalent of the Grammy Awards. Inspired by Berlin techno as well as the French “French Touch”, Jacques offers an unforgettable musical and visual experience. For his new live performance Vidéochose, he has fun cutting, looping and composing short excerpts from films, documentaries, YouTube videos – or material from his own everyday life. These sounds are quickly processed, looped and structured in real time. The result is an auditory collage experience where sounds become visual and vice versa. Jacques pushes the boundaries to offer a concert that is both noisy and danceable.
With kind support from Institut français de Suède.

Mariam Wallentin

Artist, musician and composerMariam Wallentin will be coming to Färgfabriken’s anniversary party to perform a partly improvised, partly composed solo piece for voice. She is a multifaceted artist with musical roots in both improvisation and avant-garde as well as in contemporary art music and alternative pop. She is one half of the drum and vocal duo Wildbirds & Peacedrums and a driving force in the jazz collective Fire! Orchestra. Under her solo alias Mariam The Believer, created in 2013, she explores a more pop-oriented expression. Since 2007, Mariam Wallentin has freelanced and toured internationally with her own projects and as a collaborator with artists such as Deerhoof, Konono No 1, Damien Rice, Zeitkratzer and Leonard Cohen, among others. She has also performed with names such as St Vincent, Joanna Newsom, Arcade Fire and Lykke Li. She has also appeared on the stages of Dramaten and Orionteatern and released records on the prestigious ECM label together with Anders Jormin and composed themes for television series. Mariam Wallentin has been awarded the Swedish Radio Jazz Prize, the Manifest Prize and Rikskonserts’ “Jazz of the Year in Sweden”, as well as been nominated for a Grammis and received a cultural scholarship from the Sten A Olsson Foundation.
Ruben Wätte

Artist Ruben Wätte works at the intersection of participatory art, pedagogy and public design. His work is about creating processes where both artist and participant are co-creators. He encourages participants to dare to try, experiment and explore, without fear of performance or assessment. It is often about a kind of liberating play with phenomena such as risk, trust, uncertainty and loss of control, where normative and habitual approaches are temporarily put out of play in favour of other ways of being and doing. At Färgfabriken’s anniversary party, he invites us all to become participants in a construction where the outcome is not crucial, but at the same time is of utmost importance!
Grebnellaw

Grebnellaw is a mutable, performative being and the creator of a fictional entity of fabulous freaks. Blending ritual, experimental pop, and visual excess, their universe unfolds through voice, beats, body, and costume, always in a state of chaos and becoming. In honor of Färgfabriken’s 30th anniversary, one of their avatars emerges: the infamous Pussy the Cat, a sassy, cult-level internet baddie who slides between banger, sermon, and soft chaos. She might bless you, haunt your feed, or drag you with a purr before ghosting in a cloud of synthetic fur.
Mr. Tophat & Art Alfie

In 2013, Art Alfie & Mr. Tophat founded the record label Karlovak, which quickly became an important part of the Swedish club scene and contributed to an international hype around Swedish dance music together with Studio Barnhus and Aniara. Calle Dernulf called it “history for Swedish electronic music”. As a DJ duo, they have taken over stages such as Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London and major festivals around the world. Now they are back after a longer break in their respective directions. The duo delivered a fresh three-track EP this spring. Raw, rolling and loaded with classic Karlovak energy in a new vein. The drum machines hit just right, and the magic of their collaboration is as obvious as ever. ”It’s raw, it’s rolling, and it’s everything you’ve been missing. Get ready to dive back into the world of Karlovak—this one’s made for late nights, early mornings, and dance floors that most certainly can never stop.”
DJ City

DJ City is an internationally active DJ with roots in new wave, house and acid from the late 80s. He made his mark in Berlin as resident DJ for Cocktail d’Amore at Griessmuehle, and his career took off with collaborations with the record label Public Possession. His DJ sets are characterized by a mix of older and modern dance music, influenced by a romantic vision of nightlife that was shaped during his upbringing via MTV and radio.
Sissela Nordling Blanco

Sissela Nordling Blanco is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on graphic art and printmaking. She holds a master’s degree in visual communication from Konstfack and is passionate about projects that unite art and design with social justice. Her work particularly revolves around themes such as migration, feminism and queer perspectives. Sissela works on projects in graphic design, public art and creative workshops – often in collective forms. For Färgfabriken’s anniversary celebration, the artist invites participants to a stamping workshop where participants can try stamping on large and small objects, on paper and walls!
dj døden

Contrary to what one might think, Marie Døsen aka dj døden (meaning death in Norwegian) is the direct opposite to what the name suggests. Her energy and style is more akin to high-octane rocket fuel than something morbid and somber. Fearlessly moving on a wave of techno, breaks, house flair, jersey club and rave classics. dj døden has been on support duties for international artists at some of the city’s most respected clubs, hosting the frequently held party series MENTAL alongside being a mainstay headliner on the underground circuit.
DJ Chilli Bendt

Chili Bendt is a DJ and Creative Producer with an ear for what rubs the right way. Her sets move freely between experimental rock, prog, kraut, psych, space rock, synth, house, cumbia, afro beats, middle eastern funk and other unexpected rhythms. The result is a journey where the familiar is put to rest and new soundscapes take shape.
Bassängen

Bassängen is a collective of young artists from Stockholm, mainly between 17 and 20 years old. They were formed out of the need for a common space and to provide a platform for unestablished artists. Since its inception in 2023, Bassängen has developed into a vibrant network of creative souls spread throughout Stockholm. The art collective carries out cultural activities in various constellations such as workshops, exhibitions, film production and performances. At the Färgfabriken anniversary party, members Emma Oreland, Frans Cavallin Rosengarten, Filippa Eklund, Edith Cederberg Kästel and Maja Neuschütz will give us a excerpts of their poetry through readings.
Tuba Libre feat. Leafnuts

Afrobeat, trance, brazilian funk, free jazz and dancehall in a way you’ve never heard it before. Tuba Libre is a wall of sound that will make your eardrums cave in. They play furious rhythmic music that can make anyone lose control. Tuba Libre is like pouring five espressos, starting a rave in a jungle and then losing yourself in a rhythmic time loop. Together with Leafnuts, a true legend and veteran of the Swedish dancehall/reggae scene, they invite you to an energetic, bodily experience that can make you forget everything you know.
Klara Mossberg

Klara Mossberg is a tightrope walker and aerial acrobat who has worked around Europe and North America since 2011 with everything from musicals and opera to international, contemporary circus companies as well as with her own projects and interdisciplinary collaborations. She is educated in France and Sweden with a Bachelor’s degree in Circus-equilibristik from SKH, and has also studied biomechanics and motor control in the Master’s program at GIH. Her practice revolves around, among other things, the deconstruction of movement techniques on tightrope and contextualizing circus skills outside the stage space. A film from her project Correlational Space Wire, a collaborative project between architecture and tightrope walk funded by Kulturbryggan, will be shown during the evening. The film was created together with Karl-Oskar Gustafsson and populates the diagonal void of Färgfabriken’s Main Hall.
Burcu Sahin
Unfortunately, pooet burcu Sahin had to cancel her participation.
