Expanded Societies – About digitalisation and its impact on society

Expanded Societies examines how technology affects our lives. The project is focusing on– a technology-driven society that takes care of the planet’s resources in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. With Expanded Societies we want to challenge, influence and create contexts for understanding and an exchange of ideas through round table discussions, debates, seminars and exhibitions.

Expanded Societies focuses on the future of sustainable, smart, connected communities. A technology-driven society that takes care of the planet’s resources in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Expanded Societies is a project that will examine how technology affects our lives, but it’s more than a technology forum. The intention is to scan what is happening now and in the near future, from different perspectives. The project will capture current research and trends. The ambition is to create a lab with several partners from different fields to give an overview and comprehensive picture of the development, which is so fast that it is difficult to foresee. We want to create new opportunities and positive consequences for the future.

With Expanded Societies we want to challenge, influence and create contexts, understanding and an exchange of ideas through round table discussions, debates, seminars and exciting exhibitions. The exhibitions will be developed in collaboration with several active players and form an important part of the understanding of the opportunities and challenges of technology in the face of the rest of society.
