Separate exhibition
Project rooms, Färgfabriken

Jean Baudrillard is famous mostly for being one of the recent decades’ most important theoreticians and debaters. With his extensive book publishing since the 1970s he became one of the leading voices in the so called postmodern discussion in the 1980s and his writing have continued to create debate ever since. His thinking hasn’t only influenced the theoretical discussion; it has to the same extent been important for contemporary art, architecture and cultural discussion.

A lesser known fact is that Baudrillard since the mid 1980s also has been active as a photographer. These pictures have rendered an increasingly higher interest and have been subjects for exhibitions around the world. Now they reach Sweden for the first time. At Exposeptember 2000, Färgfabriken has the opportunity to show a selection of Baudrillads photographs from 1985 to 1998.

Jean Baudrillard is present at the opening from 3 p.m., and on the 16th of September he converses with Sven Olof Wallenstein during a walk in the Färgfabriken-exhibition.
